Favorite Caches

When I was younger, one of my all-time favorite morning programs was the Price is Right. This particular cache translated well as becoming my all-time favorite cache I have found. Modeled after the pricing game Plinko, this cache requires the player to drop a chip into the above slot and hope it lands in the middle, bottom slot. If so, the game will drop the container that contains the logbook. The cache is completed with flashing lights and TPIR theme music blaring out. This is an excellent example of the creativity of the geocaching community.

On a trip to London in 2019, a geocache had brought me to the best location that a geocache has ever led me to. The cache was located in an arcade filled with wacky and bizarre arcade games. Words cannot describe the uniqueness and originality of these machines. The actual geocache was a flying saucer that flew down from the ceiling. An amazing geocache on top of the amazing location made this my favorite memory of the trip.

This geocache was located in Utah. What made this geocache so special was the fact that it was hidden in the rare date of August 2000. There are only four active caches remaining that were hidden in August 2000, and I was given the opportunity to make the trip to this particular one called Potter's Pond. This was during a crazy four-day road trip to Idaho, Utah, Nevada, California, and Oregon to find a couple of targetted older caches.
